Nicholas Loiodice, a lifelong resident of Cold Spring, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie. He was born on October 16, 1926 to the late Cataldo and Arcangela (Cifarelli) Loiodice in Cold Spring. He lived on East Mountain for 88 years.
Nicholas was a Veteran of the United States Army serving as a Military Policeman in Europe post WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He retired from Texaco as a Maintenance Foreman in 1987 after 38 years of service. Nick also worked during his retirement at The Round Hill Townhouse Complex in Fishkill with his late brother-in-law Edward Supranowicz until the age of 84. Nicholas loved nature, gardening, and bowling. He was a skilled mason and carpenter.
Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 62 years, Regina (Supranowicz) Loiodice; sons: Michael and his wife Heidi of LaGrangeville, Nicholas and his wife Michelle of Dover Plains; daughters: Karen Wilcha and her husband Steven of Hyde Park, Gina Meyer and her husband William of Pine Bush; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Nicole, Emily, Jack, Alex, Rachel, John and Ethan. Nicholas was predeceased by his brother Savino Loiodice.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 20th at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 21st at the funeral home, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. The U.S. Army will conduct Military Honors.
