Obituary

Nicola Luiso, 96, a resident of LaGrangeville since 1977 and formerly of Mount Vernon, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie.
Born in Mount Vernon on April 21, 1915, he was the son of Corrado and Blanch Treulieb Luiso. He was employed as a Firefighter for the City of Mount Vernon Fire Department for 28 years until his retirement in 1977 and was a member of the New York Police & Fire Retiree Association, Inc.
On September 19, 1936 in Mount Vernon, Nicola married Mary DeMicco who predeceased him on February 4, 1996. He is survived by his daughters, Blanche Graff of Beekman and Mary Ann Orlando of Margate, FL; his brothers, Frank Luiso of Yonkers and Corrado Luiso of New Rochelle; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a great, great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held at 8pm with Rev. Glenn Stubbs officiating. Entombment will be on Saturday in the Shine of Memories at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale. The procession formation will commence at 9:30am and depart the funeral home at 10 am.
