Nicola Antonio Piscitelli, 85, a resident of LaGrangeville since 1997 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Italy on May 4, 1927, he was the son of Vincenzo and Maria Piscitelli. Nicola had served as a Lieutenant in the Italian Air Force and was employed as a store manager for Bohack . He was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, LaGrangeville. He also attended the American Legion, Tri-Town Senior Center, Poughkeepsie and enjoyed gardening.

On December 27, 1952 in Canada, Nicola married Anna Ambrosio who survives at home. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Vincent and Lisa Piscitelli of Poughkeepsie, Kathy and Fabio Falcone of Poughkeepsie, Rosanne and Robert Nelson of LaGrangeville; his grandchildren, Daniela, Anthony, Lauren, Kristen, Valerie and Nicholas; and his sister, Giuseppina Piscitelli of Italy. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Maria Teresa; and his sisters, Maria and Angela Piscitelli.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12:30pm at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
