East Fishkill – Nicole Jean Ashbaugh, 42, an area resident since 2019 and formerly of Washington, died on February 14, 2023 at Northern Manor Multicare in Nanuet following a long illness.

Born in Elmira on April 27, 1980, Nicole was employed in customer service at BJ's Wholesale Club in Wappingers Falls. She LOVED New Kids on the Block, and she also enjoyed baking.

On August 17, 1999 in Spartanburg, SC, Nicole married Darrell Matt Ashbaugh who survives at home. As a military family, they traveled and lived all across the United States. She is also survived by her children, Kathryn, Matthew and Darrick; her granddaughter, Milia Mitchell; her mother, Odalys Ponce and her husband Joseph Cantwell; her siblings, Derek Cantwell and Cortney Cantwell; and her aunt, Gayle MacWhinnie.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 12-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service at 4pm.
