Ninfa Joanne Galschjodt, 96, a resident of the Town of LaGrange for 30 years and formerly of Brooklyn, died on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Jefferson City, Missouri on March 13, 1917, she was the daughter of John and Marianna Pisciotta Randazzo. She had been employed by Merrill Lynch. Ninfa was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church and a member of the St. Denis-St. Columba-St. Kateri Altar Rosary Society.
Ninfa was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Galschjodt on March 14, 1994. She is survived by her children, Arthur Galschjodt and wife Kathy, Mary Pedro, Marianne Vasquez and husband Bob, Trudy Galschjodt, Gerry Galschjodt, Joann Cecere and Chris Galschjodt; her sister, Marge Terranova; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
