Wappinger Falls, NY- Noel F. Morris a long-time resident of Wappinger Falls, NY passed away at home on May 6, 2022. He was 81.
Noel was born in the Bronx, NY on November 5, 1940, the son of Frederick and June (Patti) Morris.
He graduated from St. Simon Stock High School in the Bronx and then went on to begin his career in Corrections. He entered the Corrections Officers Academy and graduated in 1968. Noel served over 50 years as a Corrections Officer spending his entire career at Sing-Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining, NY. Along with being a C.O. in 1984 he became the Fire Safety Chief of Sing-Sing Correctional.
Noel had many hobbies including playing guitar, working on his cars and his house, he was an avid collector of steins, trains, and racecars. His passion was his corvette, he was member of a local corvette club and Monte Carlo National Car Club. His other favorite group was R.O.M.E.O (Retired Old Men Eating Out) where he met with his friends at Dunkin Donuts.
Noel is survived by his wife Mary, son Michael Kelly, daughters Karen Kelly and her husband James Sprague and Noelle Kelly and her husband Russell Bighan. Seven grandchildren: Alex, Dominic, Cameron, Cassidy, Devon, Cole and Jordan. He is also survived by his sister Rose Morris and her husband Patrick Hickey, his niece Lori, nephew Patrick and great-nephews James & Gerard. Noel is also survived by his in-laws Russell Bauer, Fran & Roland Berard, Suzanne & Michael Quartuccio, Christina Morey, Lydia and Freddy DaSilva and Charlotte Santiago.
He is pre-deceased by his parents and his four-legged best friend Brook.
Calling Hours will be Monday May 9, 2022, from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday from 10am-12Noon at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 12 Noon on Tuesday with Entombment to follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Cystinosis Research Network.
