Oscar Mario Fernando Granados Colindres, 17, died tragically and unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
He was born in Malacatán, San Marcos, Guatemala on October 6, 2008. In 2018, he emigrated to the United States and lived in Wappingers Falls, NY.
Oscar attended Myers Corners and Sheafe Road Elementary Schools as well as Roy C. Ketcham High School. He loved playing soccer and had great interest in classic cars and automotive hobbies.
His dreams included becoming a professional soccer player, joining the U.S. Military, and traveling throughout the world to visit other countries. He attended Harvest Church in Wappingers Falls.
Oscar is survived by his mother, Mirna Colindres & her husband Daniel Irrazabal; his father, Mario Granados; his sisters, Daniela & Kayla Irrazabal; his grandparents, Irma Escobar and Oscar Colindres; his aunts and uncles, Rosa Colindres, Astrid Colindres, Rosario Colindres, Nancy Colindres, Rosio Escobar, Adner Escobar, Rober Colindres, and Jessica Irrazabal; his cousin, Leonel Colindres; and his two close friends, Alizon and Erik.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, July 5 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 6 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery, 2828 W. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY.
