Otto Gaster's Obituary
Otto A. Gaster, 83, a resident of Beacon since 2012 and previously of Spring Hill, FL, died on November 25, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born on November 11, 1934 in Germany, Otto was the son of Otto and Paulina (Moellenbeck) Gaster. In 1957 in Germany, Otto married Albina Widmer who predeceased him on August 17, 2012.
Otto had worked as a chef for Breakneck Lodge in Cold Spring for more than 20 years.
Otto is survived by his children, Alice Fleming and her husband Tom of Stormville, and Robert Gaster and his wife Laura of Beacon; and his 5 grandchildren, Ryan and Kristin Fleming, Josef, Erik, and Kendyll Gaster.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
