Patrice Lauricella, 69, an area resident for the last 13 years, passed away on April 19, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in New Rochelle in 1952, Pat was the daughter of the late Theodore and Esther (Cakouros) Mourges. She attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial College in New York City and worked for Milliken and Company for many years before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom. When her children were a little older, she re-entered the workforce as a teacher's aide for the Mohansic Elementary School. As her multiple sclerosis symptoms progressed, she then retired. Over the past several years she has enjoyed social media, especially playing word feud games with friends.
On November 11, 1973 in New Rochelle, Pat married Theodore A. Lauricella. Her husband of almost 50 years survives at home. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, Dena and James Stetz of Fishkill and Jason and Michelle Lauricella of Carmel; her grandchildren, Christopher and Alyssa Lauricella and Makenzie and Aubree Stetz; her brother, John Mourges and his wife Rose; and her nephews, Theodore and Stephen Mourges.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church, 140 South Grand Avenue, Poughkeepsie followed by entombment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
