Patricia J. Hopkins , 80, of Fishkill, NY, formerly of Jamaica, Queens, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025.

Born on July 14, 1945, in Queens, NY, Patricia was proud of her roots and her Irish heritage, which she celebrated throughout her life. On June 9, 1973, she married the love of her life, Michael Hopkins Jr., at Immaculate Conception Monastery Church in Queens. They shared a loving marriage until his passing in 2016.

Patricia worked for many years as the shipping and receiving manager at Fanny's Playhouse, a beloved costume and doll company. She was the cherished matriarch and the proud keeper of the family tree, dedicating countless hours to researching and preserving her family's genealogy. She especially treasured her time with her twin granddaughters and loved summers at her vacation home in Eagle Lake, Pennsylvania.

A woman of strong faith, Patricia was a devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon, NY.

She is survived by her loving children, Colleen Hopkins and her partner Christopher Murphy, and Michael Hopkins III. Her adored granddaughters, Alanna and Kayleigh Murphy, were the light of her life. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her warmth, wisdom, and generosity.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Hopkins Jr., her parents Edward and Margaret (Dawson) Kelly, and all of her sisters and brothers.

Her legacy of love, devotion, and family pride will live on in all who knew her.

Calling hours will be Sunday, August 24, 2025, at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY from 12 PM - 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon, NY. Interment to take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Joachim Cemetery, Beacon, NY.
