Patricia Kissane died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the age of 80.

Pat was born on August 22, 1935 in Brooklyn. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Walton High School in the Bronx. She worked for many years at Macy's in Manhattan, then at Barker's in Fishkill and the Pennysaver in Wappingers Falls. After retiring, she and her husband Don loved to get in the car and hit the road, traveling many times to the West Coast. They always came home with a story of an adventure on the road – a wrong turn in the desert that found them at the end of a long dirt driveway at the home of a silversmith, visiting with the general store owner who showed them the bayou behind his house or arriving just as a roadside attraction was shutting down for the day and getting a private tour.

Pat was a member of the East Fishkill Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and St. Columba Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to her Thursday craft group, traveling and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat lived her life simply with the attitude that every day is a gift.

Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald; her daughter and son-in-law, Monica Kissane and Rock Nadeau of Freeport, ME; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Patti Kissane of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Brian and Daniel Kissane of Wappingers Falls, Chris and Karen Bauer of Las Vegas, NV, Sara and Chris Alexander of Sammamish, WA; her great grandchildren, Kevin, Sean and Emily Alexander; her sister, Barbara Wojtko of Longmont, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
