Patricia Newman, 78, a resident of Poughquag for 15 years and formerly of Pleasantville, died on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at her home.
Born on September 25, 1932 in Thornwood, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence Moore Dwyer. Patricia was employed as a District Clerk for the Pleasantville School District for 25 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Thornwood Fire Department.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Kim Leslie and her husband Bill of Poughquag and Kip Newman of Poughquag; her grandchildren, Christopher and Emma Leslie of Amenia, Justin Leslie of Poughquag and Meghen Leslie of Poughquag; her great-granddaughter, Isabela Leslie of Amenia; her sister, Phyllis Livingstone of Pleasantville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in Beekman Cemetery.
