Patricia Ann Quinn Schiess, 80, a Stormville resident for 18 years, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, died at Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Holmes on Monday, May 31, 2010.
A member of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, Patricia was also actively involved with the Town of Beekman Senior Citizens and the Sons of Italy Joe DiMaggio Lodge. In 1995, she retired as a cook for the Marriot Food Service Corporation at I.B.M. in East Fishkill.
Born in Staten Island on January 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Louise Schuerer Spalding. On April 26, 1948, she married Joseph Schiess in Elkton, MD. Mr. Schiess survives at home. Additional survivors include two grandsons, Joseph Schiess of FL and Peter Schiess of Brooklyn; nephew, Stephen Fogarty of Franklin Lakes, NJ; niece, Donna Fogarty of Wyckoff, NJ; nephew, Jeffrey Fogarty & his wife Elizabeth of Kinnelon, NJ; also many great nieces & great nephews.
Patricia was predeceased by her two sons, Gary and Ronald Schiess, as well as her sisters, Joan Fogarty and Jeanette Bundy.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 5 at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Burial will be held on a later date at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee, NJ.
