WAPPINGERS FALLS – Patricia Susan Versea, 77, died on October 28, 2018 at home surrounded by her family after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease. She previously lived in Carmel and Brooklyn.

Born in Brooklyn on March 16, 1941, Patricia was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mariana (Caputo) Hyatt. She worked alongside her husband at their business, and previously worked for New York Telephone Company in their accounting office.

In 1965 in Brooklyn, she married Egidio "Gino" Versea. Her husband of 53 years survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Antonietta St. George and her husband Scott of Hopewell Junction, Giorgio Versea and his wife Linda of Southport, CT, and Maria Rescigno and her husband Richard of LaGrange; and her grandchildren, Angelina St. George, Nicholas and Christian Versea, Sarah and Juliana Rescigno. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Rosemarie Randell.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
