Obituary

Patrick Cameron, a Hopewell Junction resident since 2000 and formerly of Westchester County and New York City, died at home on Monday, July 11, 2016. He was 65.
Son of the late Robert and Catherine (Parrello) Cameron, he was born in Manhattan on Christmas Day – December 25, 1950. In his youth, Pat lived with his family throughout different neighborhoods in New York City.
In 1968, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served for two years on active duty during the Vietnam War. He then continued as a Reservist and was honorably discharged for his service in 1974.
Pat had a long career in the Environmental Services Department for the V.A. Hudson Valley Health Care System. He worked at their medical centers in both Montrose and Castle Point.
On May 30, 1998, he married Patricia K. McHugh in Cortlandt, NY. Patricia survives at their home in Hopewell Junction.
In addition to his wife, other survivors include his stepdaughter, Lynn Maria Mitts & her husband Dennis of Long Island, along with their children Dennis, Jr. and Jessa; four sisters, Marge Botten of Queens, Carol Rice of Arizona, Mary Talleos & her husband Costa of the Bronx, and Veronica Willis of Arizona; his brother, Martin Wallace & his wife Marie of Hastings-on-Hudson; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers, William and Robert Cameron.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 14 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. The U.S. Marine Corps will conduct Military Honors.
