Patrick Thomas Donnolly, 83, an area resident since 1963 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born on January 21, 1927 in New York City, he was the son of the late Thomas Patrick and Catherine McCahill Donnolly. He served in the US Navy during World War II and worked in Salary Administration for IBM, East Fishkill for 25 years. He then worked as the office manager for Viking Ironworks in Poughkeepsie for 20 years until his retirement in 1989. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction.
On January 25, 1948 at St. Monica’s Church, New York City, Patrick married Gloria Kenefick who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Thomas P. Donnolly of Newburgh, Maureen Donnolly of Wappingers Falls, Rosemary Donnolly of Wallkill, Kathleen Kavanaugh and her husband Gerald of Endicott, Patricia Rokitowski and her husband Robert of Wappingers Falls and Barbara Jean Gettys and her husband John of Newburgh; and his grandchildren, Jessica and Jason Tripaldi, Kelly Kavanaugh and her fiancé Chad Johnson, Lindley and Erin Kavanaugh, Emily Ann, Daniel and Brian Rokitowski and Margaret Gettys. He was predeceased by his sister, Cathleen Delgado.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
