Patrick Jeffrey Ganley, 54, a resident of Dutchess County for 30 years and formerly of Queens, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Manhasset on March 26, 1956, he was the son of Thomas and Alyce Olsen Ganley. He has been employed by Con Edison for the last 31 years. Patrick was an avid hunter, fisherman and history buff. He was a car enthusiast who loved his Impala SS. He also enjoyed sports including his favorite teams, the New York Mets, Jets and Islanders.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Maria Cristina Ganley; his sons, Gonzalo Gabriel and Patrick Sebastian; his siblings, Thomas Joseph Ganley and wife Susan of Long Beach, Donald James Ganley of Flushing, Janice Conterelli and husband Chris of Floral Park, Peter Ganley and wife Barbara of Flushing and Joanne Gilbert of Monticello; his nieces and nephews, Donald, Thomas, Carol, Charles, Janet, Christopher and Daniel; his cousin, Patrick, as well as many other cousins and close friends.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill.
