Obituary

Paul Anthony Baldovin, Sr., 82, a resident of East Fishkill for 51 years, originally from the Bronx, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill.
Born in the Bronx on March 21, 1929, he was the son of the late Orlando and Rose Sacco Baldovin. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.
Paul married the love of his life, the former Mary Bartolomeo, on May 13, 1951 at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in the Bronx. They were married for 60 years.
Paul was a Certified Public Accountant, a sole proprietor, in Poughkeepsie for more than 48 years. He was a graduate of Pace University and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Paul was a member of St. Mary's Council #4065, Knights of Columbus in Fishkill. In earlier years, Paul was a member of the Kiwanis and Lions Clubs.
Besides his loving wife, Paul is survived by his five children: Rosemarie Sullivan and her fiance John Dominick of Hopewell Junction, Paul Anthony Baldovin, Jr. of Coral Springs, FL, Thomas Joseph Baldovin and his wife Jill of Manassas, VA, Mark John Baldovin and his wife Stefanie of Staten Island and Maryann von Egypt and her husband Rudy of Hopewell Junction. He is also survived by his 12 loving grandchildren: John Sullivan, Paul Anthony III and Michelle Baldovin, Jaclyn, Eric, Molly and Lindsay Baldovin, Brandon and Cameron Baldovin, Nicholas, Danielle and Sarah von Egypt. Paul is also survived by his brother, John Baldovin and his wife Ruth of Bedford Hills.
Paul was an avid reader and he loved spending time with his family. He was a hardworking man and was a friend to many. He was greatly loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Vanderbilt Unit at the Wingate at Dutchess for their care and support.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
