FISHKILL – Paul A. Carielli, 95, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Son of the late Paul and Carmela (Ricciardi) Carielli, he was born in the Bronx on June 22, 1927. He graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School and was inducted into the U.S. Army and served as a Technician until being honorably discharged from active service in 1946. Paul worked for many years at Berkey Photo, Inc. He served in the quality control office at the company's location in Hempstead, Long Island. Paul enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, landscaping, racquetball, fishing, and casino outings. He was an avid bowler who loved to travel, especially taking trips to the beach where he could spend countless hours swimming. On May 5, 1951, he married Louise Locasale at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the Bronx. Survivors include his beloved wife Louise; his daughter, Paula Curran; his son, Tom Carielli & his partner Adriana Guzman; his daughter, Luann Ribeiro & her husband Roy; his grandchildren, Kim Colacicco, Danielle Perrotto & her husband Steven Tang, Paul Carielli, Keith Carielli & his wife Michelle, Christina Curran, and Ryan Curran; and seven great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, January 2 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY.
