FISHKILL – Paul W. Reedy, Sr., 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at home in Fishkill surrounded by his family. He previously lived in Raleigh, NC and Lagrangeville.

Born in Mount Vernon on June 1, 1945, he was the son of the late William V. Reedy and Gertrude (Mongarelle) Reedy. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1962 -1966. He was a member of the VFW in New York as well as Post 7383 in Cary, NC, and was a member of the US Navy Cruiser Sailors Association.

Paul retired as a Director of the New York City Department of Design and Construction in 2006 after 17 years of service. He spent his entire career in construction, and was employed as a superintendent of construction for many general contractors before he began working for the City of New York.

Paul is survived by his wife Virginia Nelly Reedy who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Denise Ferland of Wappingers Falls, Barbara Rabadi and her husband John of LaGrange, and Paul W. Reedy, Jr. and his wife Mary of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Samantha and Melissa Ferland, Brianna Carroll, Hadi and Daniel Rabadi; Shawna and her husband Jaleel David; great grandchildren Amira and Jakob David and his siblings, Elaine Reedy Bisceglia of CT and William C. Reedy of Scarsdale. He was also predeceased by his sister, Patricia Reedy.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The honor guard will perform military honors at 7 pm.
