WAPPINGERS FALLS - Penney R. Hernandez, 55, a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, died at home on April 22, 2026.

She was born on December 12, 1970 in Tarrytown. Penney was an avid fan of all things Disney, especially Tinker Bell. She loved listening to music and enjoyed being pampered-whether getting her nails or hair done, or accessorizing with her favorite jewelry. Above all, Penney loved her family deeply and cherished every moment she spent with them.

On June 30, 2002 in East Fishkill, Penney married Peter Hernandez who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, George Wolfe, Shannon Wolfe, Hunter Hernanadez, and Darren Hernandez; her grandchildren, Lucia DiMassimo and Adyline Wolfe; her parents, James Troise and Anne Marie Robinson; her brother, Kenneth Troise and his wife Mary; her mother-in-law, Carmen N. Hernandez; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Penney was predeceased by her father-in-law, Pedro Hernandez.

A Mass of Christian Burial is being offered on Tuesday, April 28 at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Wappingers Falls.
