Petar Elezovic, 69, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, with his family by his side.

Born in Montenegro on March 4, 1957, he was the son of the late Nosa and Katrina Elezovic. Petar married the love of his life, Elvira Skrela, on May 24, 1981 and together they raised four daughters.

Petar had been a resident of LaGrangeville since 1995, having previously lived in New York City. He owned and operated his own general contracting business and was a gifted craftsman, known for his exceptional woodworking skills and his ability to fix just about anything.

Petar always kept busy, whether working in his vegetable garden or raising chickens, who occasionally wandered across the road and became a familiar sight in the neighborhood.

Petar is survived by his wife, Elvira Elezovic; his daughters, Jana and her husband, Vincent Philippe Brassier, Daniela Elezovic, Kathrene and her husband, Charles McDonough, and Gabriela Elezovic; his beloved "mush" granddaughter, Brooklyn McDonough; his siblings, Viktor, Zef, Liza, and Lula, along with their spouses; and many nephews, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and lifelong friends.

A church service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, at 11:00 AM at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, 12533 followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
