WAPPINGERS FALLS - Peter F. D'Antoni, "Macho Man", an area resident since 1991, died on October 14, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was 74. He previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in Yonkers on June 21, 1950, Peter was the son of the late Felix and Regina (Cioffi) D'Antoni. He was employed by the Layers Helpers Union Local #88 for over 25 years, retiring in 1991.

Peter will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a "People Person". He enjoyed meeting up with family and friends at diners and coffee shops.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Stephanie (DeLuise) D'Antoni at home; his children, Gloria Masoud and her husband Rajeh of Sarasota, FL, April D'Antoni of Wappingers Falls, and Laurence Miressi and his wife Kelly of Ramsey, NJ; his grandchildren, Layla Rose and Sophie Masoud and Nick and Ryan Miressi; his sister, Teri; the extended DeLuise family and the Amico family; and his beloved furry companions, Barney and Logan.

He was also predeceased by his stepmother of 21 years, Rosemarie D'Antoni.

A Memorial Mass will be offered on his birthday, June 21, 2025 at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
