Peter Delfico Sr's Obituary
FISHKILL – Peter R. Delfico, Sr., a resident of Fishkill since 1973, passed away on Monday, October 18th, 2021 in Pawling, NY. He was 81.
Son of the late Charles and Concetta (Frascione) Delfico, he was born in the Bronx on June 6, 1940. Peter was a graduate of Parsons School of Design in NYC.
On April 24, 1971, he married the love of his life, Patricia Ellen Boehmer in Piscataway, NJ. For 42 years, Peter and Pat co-owned Delfico Advertising Agency. Through their company, the couple became actively involved in several local civic organizations such as the Fishkill Business Association, Exchange Club of Southern Dutchess, the Poughkeepsie Area, Greater Southern Dutchess, and Orange & Westchester Chambers of Commerce, plus many other non-profit groups and committees.
His passion for art led him to become a fine artist, transforming his gift of painting, graphic design, and architectural rendering into an advertising career. He was an expert and avid coin and medals collector, loved building models, and exploring every fishing hole from Croton Reservoir to the Pulaski River. Pete enjoyed watching movies, and pretty much everything Italian, including thin and well-done pizza, and ronis and gravy on Sunday. He was also a lifelong avid New York Giants and New York Mets fan.
After 49 years of marriage, Peter was predeceased by Patricia on June 15, 2020.
He is survived by his son, Peter R. Delfico, Jr. & his wife Elissa of Fishkill; his son, Matthew Delfico & his wife Stephanie of Manalapan, NJ; his grandsons, Matthew & Charlie Delfico; his brother-in-law, Robert Boehmer & his wife Nancy; and many other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Peter was also predeceased by his brothers and their wives, George & Peggy Delfico and Thomas & Marie Delfico.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Angel Fund, c/o St. Mary School, PO Box 780, Fishkill, NY 12524 or the Fishkill Food Pantry, 1153 Main Street, Fishkill, NY 12524.
