Peter Jimenez passed away on January 25, 2025 at Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Beacon at the age of 74. He was born in San Sebastian, PR to the late Francisco and Francisca (Caban) Jimenez on August 1, 1950. On March 12, 1988, he married his beloved wife Iris (Molina) Jimenez in Huntington, NY. Iris survives at home.

Peter worked for 20 years at the Healey Brothers Car Dealership in Poughkeepsie as a Custodian and Shuttle Driver. He was a huge baseball fan and especially loved cheering on the NY Mets. He absolutely loved the older players from the 70's and 80's. During his lifetime, he even got to meet a few famous baseball players. He loved listening to classic rock and was a big fan of the Rolling Stones.

He was a very friendly person who above all else loved his wife Iris and daughter Marissa. Family always came first for him. Peter had a joy for God as well, and was a devoted member of the Salem Tabernacle Church in Beacon, and was an usher there for many years.

In addition to his beloved wife Iris Jimenez and daughter Marissa Carmine, Peter is survived by his son-in-law Michael Carmine, his step-sons: David Valentin and his wife Chrissy, and Danny Valentin and his wife Yajaira; his step-daughter Iliana Almeyda and her husband Billy; his grandchildren: Christian, David, and Danielle Valentin; and his brother Angel Luis Jimenez.

In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his brothers: Flores, Francisco and Ismael Jimenez, and his sister Aida Luz Jimenez.

Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm on Saturday, February 1 at Salem Tabernacle, 7 Delavan Avenue, Beacon, NY. Entombment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
