Obituary

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Peter Raymond Kyte, beloved husband and father, passed on September 20, 2021 at home, age 70. Born in the Bronx on February 27, 1951, Peter was the son of the late Walter and Dianne (Rankin), and grew up in Ossining, NY.

An area resident of Wappingers Falls for over 22 years, "PK" was a treasured friend and warm spirit, who liked sharing stories with family and friends, playing golf (especially at St. Andrews Golf Club in Scotland), or watching the NY Mets, Jets, and Rangers. As a skilled pianist and lover of music, he enjoyed the time he spent playing in his band, Fall Out; if there was a piano nearby, Peter was going to play at least one song. He was also a graduate of Babson University, and later owned and operated Candix, Inc. in Croton-on-Hudson for over 40 years until his retirement.

On May 16, 1987 at St. Anne's Church in Nyack, Peter married Catherine Mary (Forman) Kyte. He is survived by his wife of 34 years; his daughters, Carly Kyte of Billings, MT and Kelsey Kyte and her fiancé David Blumenfeld of Boston, MA; his sister, Joanne Crandell; and many other relatives, friends, and business associates.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hudson Valley Hospice, especially Javier, for their care and compassion.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. The family requests that all visitors wear masks to services.

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been set up to help his family cover medical and future expenses. Please visit: www.gofundme.com/f/in-memoriam-of-peter-kyte
