Peter
Lisikatos
June 6, 1944 – May 3, 2025
Peter Lisikatos, a lifelong area resident, died at home on Saturday, May 3, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was 80 years old.
Peter was born in Cold Spring on June 6, 1944, to the late Emmanuel and Jean Lisikatos (Koines).
Peter's children were his reason to thrive every day. Having grandchildren was a dream come true for him. He had a love for a full table of food with loved ones gathered. He made it a priority in showing up to all events for his grandchildren as they were involved in school sports and other local activities. He also enjoyed bringing every grandchild onto his machines for rides from infancy. Teaching his skills as a machine operator was another passion of his. He always said yes when asked to donate to the community or to family fundraisers not ever looking for anything in return. Peter also had played Santa for multiple generations from the time he was in his twenties to most recent of just a few years ago for many other families as well as his own. His ultimate purpose in life was his family.
Peter took great pride in his businesses, Lisikatos Construction, Inc. and Lisikatos Realty Corp.
He is survived by his loving children, Jeanne Hustis and her husband, George, of Cold Spring; Nicholas Lisikatos, and his wife, Chantal, of Cold Spring; Maria Cestaro and her husband, Frank, of Cold Spring; his grandchildren, Peter Allen (Brittany), Nicholas Allen, Nathaniel Allen, Chelsea Perry (Casey), Samantha Ortiz (Will), Marissa Lisikatos, Joshua Lisikatos, Mackenzie Tokarz; his great grandchildren, Micah, Kylie, Nicoletta, Lincoln and Greyson; his sister in law, Anna Lisikatos; and many nieces and nephews. His brother, George Lisikatos, predeceased Peter.
