Peter J. Melnick, born on November 6, 1963 in Spring Valley, NY, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2020. Peter was an altar boy, football player at Don Bosco Prep, and an avid hunter.

After working side by side with his father for many years, Peter took over the family floor covering business, Peter Melnick Inc., upon his death in 1996.

Peter was a loving and caring person. He was a respected member of his community and loved by many.

He is survived by his mother, Romayne Melnick; his sisters, Carol Stanley and Nancy Benson; his brother-in-law, Louis Stanley; his partner, Daniel Simpson; his aunts, Mary Melnick and Florence Gaeta; his nephews, Kyle Stanley, and Brandon Stanley and his wife Camila.

Due to the current pandemic, the family will hold a memorial service at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Liver Foundation or ASPCA.
