STORMVMILLE – Peter John Ruvolo, 79, an area resident since 1976 and formerly of Brooklyn, died on August 16, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Brooklyn on June 24, 1942, he was the son of Bernardino and Batista (Caggiano) Ruvolo. Peter proudly served our country in the US Navy and was employed as a Central Office Technician for Verizon. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church. He was also a member of the New Hamburg Yacht Club for 21 years. A true nature lover, he enjoyed working in his yard and on his home and was always doing things for others.

Peter is survived by the love of his life, Adele (Ruggiero) Ruvolo; his children, Peter Ruvolo and his wife Annette, and Deena Porteous; his grandchildren, Tayla and CJ Porteous, and Ben and Emily Ruvolo; and his brother, Richard Ruvolo.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery. Masks are encouraged. Peter would also love it if everyone wore colorful clothing.
