Lagrangeville- Peter Sestito, 75, a resident of Lagrangeville, and formerly of Yorktown Heights and White Plains, passed away on September 1, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born in Italy on January 11, 1948 to the late Frank and Antonietta (Venturelli) Sestito. In 1975, he married his beloved wife Linda, who predeceased him in 2019.

Peter proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1969, and was a recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal. He worked for many years as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in White Plains, before his retirement in 2003.

He was an avid fan of the New York Mets, Giants and Knicks. He enjoyed playing golf, softball, going bowling, biking and working out at the gym.

Peter is survived by his sons, Richard Sestito (partner Jennifer Tolli) of Mahopac, NY and Peter Sestito (Christine) of Hopewell Junction, NY; his granddaughters, Ava and Grace Sestito of Hopewell Junction, NY; his sister, Rose Catalano (Joe) of Wappingers Falls, NY, brothers, Vito Sestito of Tallahassee, FL and Sal Sestito (Maria) of Valhalla, NY; brother-in-law, Peter Preuss of Mahopac, NY; his wife Linda's family, Susan and Leo Bunker and their children and grandchildren, and Paul and Robin Rucker;.as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Linda Sestito and his parents, Peter was also predeceased by his sister, Ciara Preuss.
