Obituary

WAPPINGERS FALLS - Philip David Borgia, 54, died suddenly on October 7, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He has been an area resident since 1976.

Philip was born on January 5, 1971 at the US Army Base at Fort Riley, KS. He had been employed by MTA in the Bronx for many years, but most recently enjoyed being a stay-at-home dad while working evenings at ACME in Hopewell Junction.

An avid outdoorsman , Philip enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowboarding, and riding his bicycle. But more than any adventure, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his children, who meant the world to him.

Philip is survived by his children, Philip David Borgia, Jr., Madison Rae Borgia, and Dominick Michael Borgia; his parents, Gary and Victoria (Fowler) Borgia; his brother, Thomas J. Borgia; his sister, Kristy-Ann Cook and her husband Troy; his nieces and nephews, Matthew and Alicia and their son Korben , Lillian Grace, Gary Lee, Toby, and Jonathan.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Saturday, October 18th from 1 - 4 pm with a funeral service at 4pm .
