O'Connor
May 15, 1986 – December 22, 2025
Philip Patrick Paul O'Connor, an area resident for over 30 years and formerly of Goldens Bridge and Yonkers, died on December 22, 2025.
Born in Yonkers on May 15, 1986, he was the beloved son of Patrick Joseph and Lillian (Rener) O'Connor. Philip was a 2004 graduate of Arlington High School and was currently attending nursing school in Las Vegas. He also spent time volunteering at a Las Vegas SPCA, and doing short term fostering of dogs.
Philip was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville. He loved the outdoors often spending time fishing, hunting and enjoying long walks. Philip was also an amazing cook and baker, making the best Tikka Masala , rolls, and tres leches cakes. He was also a semi-pro poker player, car enthusiast, and movie buff.
Philip was a caring and loving man who especially loved his nieces and nephews. Always a joker, he cherished making others laugh. He was loved by everyone and will be truly missed by all.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Melissa O'Connor; his brothers and their wives, John and Brittany O'Connor, Andrew and Randi O'Connor; his nieces and nephews, Kayleigh , Keira, Ryan, and Evan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Philip was predeceased by his grandparents Patrick and Maureen O'Connor, and Joseph and Lillian Rener.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 30 from 4- 7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wedn esday, D ecember 31 at 11am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville .
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to t he Family Services, Behavioral Health Center, 29 North Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
