POUGHKEEPSIE - Philip E. Rock, 68, died on January 20, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. A longtime Dutchess County resident, he enjoyed spending the last several winters at his home in New Port Richie, FL.

Born on March 18, 1956 in Plattsburgh, NY, Philip was the son of the late James and Mollie (Gorman) Rock. He retired as manager at Shop Rite where he had worked at several locations throughout Dutchess County. During his retirement, he enjoyed boating and spending time with family.

Philip is survived by his daughter, Kelly Colich and her husband Michael; his grandchildren, Francesca Polak and her husband Patrick and Victoria Colich and her fiancé Ryan Kowalski; his great-grandchildren Isabella and Michael Kowalski and Calvin Polak; his siblings, Karrin Marshall, Deborah Kennedy and her husband Raymond, Cheri Rock, Susan Harrah and her husband Bruce, Sandra Stephenson, and James Rock; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Philip was also predeceased by his wife Suzanne (Murray) Rock; and his son, Philip James "PJ" Rock.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 - 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 11:30 am at St. Columba Church followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
