It is with great sorrow that the family of Pietro Lucia announces his passing on April 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Pietro was born on June 29, 1941, in Ferentino, Italy. He immigrated to America at 16 years old where he met and married his wife Antonia in the Bronx in 1960. Together, they raised a family of five children: Joseph, Carmela (John), Rita (John), Pietro Jr., and Valeria (Brian).
Pietro was a very hardworking man all his life. He retired from the Yonkers School System as a Park Working Supervisor and moved from Yonkers to Pennsylvania, where his favorite thing to do was spend time working on his garden.
He loved and lived for his family.
He enjoyed fishing, his fig trees, and going to the casino.
He will be loved and missed by his wife of 66 years, Antonia Lucia, his 5 children, his grandchildren: Joseph Jr., Brittany, Andrew, Abigayle, Claudia, Gabriella, Alanna and Tonie; his 4 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Pio, Biagia, Marisa, and Umberto (Pre-Deceased); as well as many other family members and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, followed by entombment at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
