Pilar Siekierski, 71, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 2007 and formerly of Sunnyside, Queens, died on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Santorce, Puerto Rico on October 12, 1940, she was the daughter of Ramon Matos and Basilia Marcial.
On September 7, 1963 in the Bronx, Pilar married Stanley E. Siekierski who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Eduardo Torres of Wappingers Falls, Victor Torres and Stanley David Siekierski and his wife, Wendy of Sunnyside; her grandchildren, Sarah, Elizabeth, Victoria and Anthony; her siblings, Evelyn Fisher of Belchertown, MA, Estrella Adamczyk of Wappingers Falls, and Thomas Echevarria of Brooklyn; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Susan Torres; and her brother, Hector Echevarria.
Calling hours will be held on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Christopher Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
