Pritam Bhatti, 60, a resident of Poughkeepsie since 1981 and formerly of India, died on Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in India on May 11, 1953, she was the daughter of Jagat Bhangoo and Ind Kaur. Pritam was employed by New York State at Taconic DDSO in Wassaic since 1985. She was very religious and an active member of the Mid Hudson Sikh Cultural Society. A very kind woman, she was a hard worker who was extremely dedicated to her family.
Pritam is survived by her husband, Narinderjit S. Bhatti; her daughter, Gagandeep Bhatti; her son, Inderpaul Bhatti; her brothers, Jit S. Bhangoo, Amar S. Bhangoo and Kulwant S. Bhangoo; her sisters, Surjit K. Mann and Kulwant K. Mangat; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Monday beginning at 10am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The procession will depart for the Crematory at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery at 12pm.
