It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Quintin Rivera Cotto. Beloved husband, father, grandfather.

Quintin was born on October 31, 1941, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and peacefully passed away on July 12, 2024, at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY.

On August 4, 1994, Quintin married the love of his life, Brunilda Castro at St. Brendan's Church, Bronx, NY. Brunilda predeceased him on September 1, 2021.

Quintin dedicated his life to the construction industry as a member of Local 6A Concrete Workers, where he poured his heart and soul into every project he managed as a Foreman. Quintin's love for creating extended beyond the job site, as he often spent his spare time working on building projects around his home.

Above all, Quintin cherished and found immense joy in spending time with his wife Brunilda and in later years caring for her during her dementia. He cherished his role as husband, father and grandfather always offering fatherly advice.

Quintin is survived by his stepdaughter, Shana Hutchins of Hopewell Junction, NY, and his grandchildren, Brandon Rodriguez, Alexandra Hutchins and Christopher Hutchins.

In addition to his wife, Quintin was preceded in death by his parents Julio Rivera Ortega and Ignacia Cotto Rivera.

Funeral services are private. May his spirit live on through the memories and love he shared with us all.
