Rafael "Raffi" Guerra, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2024.

He was born on May 23, 1963 in Havana, Cuba to the late Osnaldo and Rosa (Gonzales) Guerra. Rafael married the love of his life, Michele (Nannola) Guerra on October 23, 1988 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Brewster, NY. He was a proud father to his three girls, Kaitlyn, Nicole, and Jillian, and a loving grandfather to Adelaide Rae and Jayden Rafael.

Raffi put his heart into everything he did, including his work in IT, his passion for sports and refereeing, watching the same movies over and over again, and his commitment to being a half-assed handyman. He showed kindness to those around him and wouldn't hesitate to spark a conversation with everyone who crossed his path. Rafael was a smart, gentle, and thoughtful man, and did everything he could to support his friends and family.

Rafael is survived by his loving wife Michele Guerra; his daughters: Kaitlyn Hileman and her husband Dylan, Nicole Cady and her husband Nick, and Jillian Guerra; his grandchildren: Adelaide Hileman and Jayden Cady; his brother Luis Guerra, his wife Vickie, and their children Sabrina Baviello (Ken), Steven Guerra, Gregory Guerra and Gabrielle Hayn (Dan); his mother-in-law Ann Nannola; his sisters-in-law Rosanne Feraco and her husband Joe, and Susan DiNardo; his brother-in-law Ralph Nannola Jr. and his wife Lisa; and all of his loving nieces and nephews. Rafael will be greatly missed by all.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 3-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY. A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 10 am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish 1925 Route 82 LaGrangeville, NY 12540.
