Obituary

Raffaela Vilardi, a resident of Clifton Park since 2019 and former resident of Fishkill for nearly 30 years, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her son's residence in Clifton Park. She was 95.
Daughter of the late Otto and Isabelle (Braglia) Rainone, she was born in Brooklyn on March 15, 1926. On November 2, 1947, she married Anthony Vilardi in Brooklyn. Raffaela and Anthony resided in Lindenhurst, NY for many years prior to moving to the Hudson Valley.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. Her hobbies included arts & crafts, crocheting, cooking, and she enjoyed trips to the casino. More than anything else, Raffaela cherished spending time with her family & friends, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Anthony Vilardi, survives at home in Clifton Park. Additional survivors include her son, Dr. Mario Vilardi (Susan) of Fishkill; her daughter, JoAnn Vilardi of Newburgh; her son, Anthony Vilardi (Lee) of Clifton Park; her son, Michael Vilardi (Kimberly) of Clifton Park; her grandchildren: Steven Vilardi (Gina), David Vilardi (Louisa), Kristen Vilardi Shanley (Tom), Justin Vilardi (Sandy), Ashlee Vilardi (fiancé Tommy Horgan), Brittany Vilardi, Anthony Vilardi, and Nicholas Vilardi; her great-grandchildren: Hadley, Riley, Mario, Isabella, Keegan, Hayden, Charlie, Sadie and Daniel; two sisters, Lucy Verdino and Jeanette Mazzapelle; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
Raffaela was predeceased by her parents as well as two siblings: Joseph Rainone and Lisa Pisano.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 1 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 2 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will be at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 (www.alz.org). For those wishing to attend, the family requests that you please wear masks and follow Covid restrictions regardless of vaccination.
