Ralph
Molinari
August 19, 1937 – November 24, 2024
Ralph J. Molinari passed away on November 24, 2024 at the age of 87. He was born on August 19, 1937 in the Bronx to the late John and Josephine (Guiffrida) Molinari.
On March 3, 1973, at Bedford Park Congressional Church, he married his loving wife Barbara (Rella) Molinari. They have been married over 50 years.
Ralph proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1958-1960. He worked as a Frame Technician at Verizon for over 30 years, and then worked at Walmart for about 24 years. He was a hard worker with a great sense of humor.
Ralph had many hobbies including word puzzles, doodling, playing cards, playing records of James Brown and listening to Janis Joplin. In the early days when Ralph and his family moved to Fishkill NY in 1978, he loved taking care of his garden and pool, going fishing and spending days at the lake, as well as spending time with his family at barbecues and other events. If there was a party going on, he always wanted to know what was on the menu! He loved taking care of his yard and even shoveling the driveway in the winter. When Barbara would cook, he really enjoyed when she would make him meatballs and sausage. He loved eating with his family at Gino's and having coffee talks with Barbara at the 84 and Redline Diner. Black raspberry ice cream was his favorite but nothing tasted better to him than a nice cold Dr. Pepper. Ralph also enjoyed pizza and wine Fridays with family and friends. He also preached that "chopping a couple of cloves of garlic a day will keep the doctor away."
Ralph also loved rooting for the NY Giants which faded in time. He then enjoyed watching Fox News, and trying to stay informed about politics and current events. He was a family man who always taught his children to stick up for themselves and "don't take crap from nobody, not everyone's your friend." He adored being "Papa" to his grandkids. Always making sure they were taken care of. He never said no to a tea party.
The past 2 1/2 years Ralph suffered with dementia. He was in Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing early this year for 24 hour care. The staff would get Ralph to participate in many things like art and music. His nurses and aides were so caring and kind. They were his second family. He charmed everyone he met, especially when he wore his Old Spice!
In addition to his wife Barbara, Ralph is survived by his children: Robert Stell and his girlfriend Susan, and Nicole Van Duyne and her husband Chris; his grandchildren: Michael Stell and Kayla and Ashley Van Duyne; his brother Joseph Molinari of Florida, and his beloved dog Nutella.
Ralph was predeceased by his 2 older brothers: Donald and John Molinari.
Whether you knew him as Ralph, Ralphie, Dad, Papa, Bro, or Mr. Molinari, you can be sure that he enjoyed everyone's company and good conversation.
