HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Raymond W. Morris, 90, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully on March 8, 2021 at his home.

Born in Beacon on October 9, 1930, he was the son of the late William and Hazel (Blaine) Morris. Raymond proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He had been employed as manager at Fishkill Farms. Raymond was a life member of the Wiccopee Fire Department #4, where he had served as the Fire Commissioner for over 10 years.

On April 15, 1951 at the Fishkill United Methodist Church, he married Jane (Wright) Morris. His wife of 70 years survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Patricia Hart and her husband Raymond and Michael Morris and Kim Secor; his grandchildren and their spouses, Meaghan (Hart) and Robert LeMon, Bryan Hart, Christine (Hart) and Andrew Kress, Michael Morris, Jr., Carson Morris and Hillary Klegg, Shane and Kristy Morris, Teddy Rupp, and Amanda Rupp; his 7 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Linda Lawson and Nancy Rickle; and his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 – 5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a firematic service beginning at 3:30 pm. Burial will be held on Monday at 1:45 pm at Fishkill Rural Cemetery with military honors. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required. Since capacity may be limited, all attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods.
