Raymond Olen's Obituary
Raymond J. Olen, 86, a resident of Poughquag for 44 years and previously of Queens, died Tuesday, August 27, 2018 at The Grand at River Valley.
Born on August 22, 1932 in Glen Lyon, PA, Raymond was the son of Walter and Helen (Michowski) Olenginski.
Raymond proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a Technician at IBM, first in Manhattan and then in East Fishkill for 33 years until his retirement in 1992. He was an avid golfer and deer hunter, and volunteer with the Beekman Fire Department.
On November 9, 1968 in Brooklyn, Raymond married the love of his life, Arlene Barrett who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Laurie Tomaselli and her husband Christopher of Highland, and Walter Olen of Poughkeepsie. He was predeceased by his 9 brothers and sisters.
