Reno V. Bo, 87, an area resident for 45 years and formerly of New York City, died on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Riva Trigoso, Genoa, Italy on October 20, 1922, he was the son of the late Vincent and Diana Noceti Bo. He proudly served our country in the US Army during World War II and participated in the invasion at Normandy. He was the owner and operator of RB Manufacturing in LaGrangeville for 15 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a former member of the Joe DiMaggio Lodge, Sons of Italy.
On October 19, 1946 at St. Ann's Church in New York City, Reno married Raffaela Carrillo who died on May 9, 1998. He is survived by his sons, Vincent J. Bo of Millbrook, Michael A. Bo, Sr. and his wife Joan of Red Hook and Reno Bo, Jr. and his wife Linda of Hopewell Junction; his daughter, Lisa Smida and her husband Brian of LaGrangeville; his brother, Stefano Bo of LaGrange; his sister, Catherine Winters of LaGrange; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Stelvio Bo, in 1997.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
