WAPPINGERS FALLS – Richard Donohue, Jr., 51, a lifelong area resident, died on October 23, 2022 at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York City.

Richard was born on December 18, 1970 in Mount Vernon, NY. He had been employed as a carpenter for Donohue Contracting in Poughkeepsie.

Richard was always willing to help others, and would go to the end of the earth to do so. He liked animals, and enjoyed spending time on the farm. More than anything, he loved his family and friends, and will be missed deeply by all of them.

Richard is survived by his father, Richard Donohue, Sr.; his siblings, Patrick Donohue and his wife Stacey and Hannah Donohue; his nephews, Joseph and Patrick Donohue; his daughter, Ayla Marine Donohue; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his faithful feline friend, Chatter.

Richard was predeceased by his mother, Ann (Anderes) Donohue and his sister, Sarah Donohue.
