Richard Alan Geraghty, 81, a resident of Stormville, NY since 2008 and formerly of Ardsley, NY, died on February 11, 2025 at the North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing Center.

Born in Dobbs Ferry, NY on July 30, 1943, he was the son of the late Richard James and Mary (Goetzee) Geraghty. Richard was employed as a Police Officer with the Village of Ardsley Police Department for 34 years. He was a member of the Dobbs Ferry Rod & Gun Club in Margaretville, NY. He was a gunsmith, an avid fan of western movies, country music, and was an artist.

On April 10, 1966, in Granite Springs, Richard married Anita Tompkins who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter, Sharon Schreiber, and her husband Richard; and his grandchildren, Lou Geraghty, Jessie Altieri and husband Tyler, Julie Schreiber and fiancé Jacob Arendt, and Richard D Schreiber. He was predeceased by his brother, John David Geraghty.
