Richard J. Kreidler, 75, a 45-year resident of the Shenandoah hamlet of East Fishkill, died on October 31, 2022. He was a previous resident of Westchester County, New York.
Rick was born in Detroit, MI to Francis and Mildred Kreidler. He was a 1966 graduate of Ardsley High School and a 1975 graduate of Pace University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve and served primarily on the USS Albany (CG-10) during his active duty.
Rick was a Senior Labor Standards Investigator with the New York State Department of Labor, Division of Labor Standards, for 34 years. Upon retiring from State service, he obtained a Private Investigator License.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Jessie J. Kreidler. They were high school sweethearts and were married in the historic Union Church of Pocantico Hills on July 4, 1970. Rick is also survived by his cherished sons Drew (Tara) of Aliso Viejo, CA and Dustin (Jennifer Sciglibaglio) of Hamden, CT. He also leaves behind his adored granddaughters Amanda, Brooke, Emma and Abigail. Rick is also survived by his brother William (Kathy) and several nieces. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Claire.
Rick was a soccer coach for a number of his sons' teams throughout the years. He was also a Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy raiser as well as an AARP Volunteer Tax Aide. He was a member of the USS Albany Association.
Service were private. Arrangements were under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
