Richard J. Ramputi, a resident of Wappingers Falls, formerly of Harlem and Long Island, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco. He was 85.

Son of the late Stanislar and Michelina (Giordano) Ramputi, he was born in Manhattan on March 3, 1939.

Richard worked as a draftsman for Northrop Gruman Aerospace Engineering in Bethpage, NY. His hobbies included casinos, playing poker, cooking, and trips to various resorts. More than anything else, he cherished spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Morici Ramputi; son, Michael Ramputi & his wife Bella of Wappingers Falls; his son, Steven Ramputi & his wife Michele of Poughquag; his daughter, Maria Lusardi of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren: Steven "Junior", Michael, Nicole, Danielle, Michael, Katherine, and Anthony; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Richard was predeceased by his parents as well as his siblings Savario, Peter, and Maria.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 18 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY.
