Obituary

Fishkill- Richard G. "Radar" Wolfe and lifelong resident of Fishkill, NY passed away on November 26, 2021. He was 54.

Radar was born in Beacon, NY on April 7, 1967, the son of George and Ruth Ann (Brown) Wolfe.

On September 8, 2007, he married the true love of his life Laura (Morgan) at the former River Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. She survives at home.

For over 25 years, Radar worked for the Town of Fishkill Highway Department where he was last working as a Motor Equipment Operator.

Radar was an avid Mets and Giants fan, he loved collecting, drawing, and painting fire trucks. He was a man of service, who selflessly served his community for many years in the local Fire Departments.

Radar was a proud Life Member and Ex-Assistant Chief of Protection Engine Company No.1, Village of Fishkill Fire Department. He was also a long-time Fire Prevention program coordinator for the department. He was also a Life Member of the Slater Chemical Fire Company in Glenham. In addition, he was an Associate Member of the Rombout Fire Company in Fishkill, the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department in Putnam County & the Thomaston Fire Department in Connecticut and taught the fire safety classes at the local preschools with his long-time friend Billy VanPelt.

In addition to his wife Laura, Radar is survived by his brother George Wolfe, sister Michelle Roche, father-in-law Virgil Morgan, nephew George Wolfe, nieces Shannon Wolfe and Jessica Roche, cousin Lynn Pucino, his loving and devoted Fire Department family, and many other caring friends.

Calling hours will be Wednesday December 1, 2021, at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc. from 4pm-7pm. A firematic service will take place at 7pm in the funeral home. Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10am in the funeral home, which will also be live streamed for the those who cannot attend, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
