Rita Mary Giannoni, a lifelong resident of White Plains, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Wingate at Beacon Health Care Facility. She was 88.
Daughter of the late Concetto and Mary (Caroprese) Giannoni, she was born in White Plains on October 27, 1931. After nearly 40 years of service, Rita retired as a telephone operator for Verizon (formerly New York Telephone Co.) in 1989. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains and belonged to several religious organizations.
She is survived by her loving extended family.
Rita was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Giannoni, in 1960; and her father, Concetto Giannoni, in 1963.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 21 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 92 South Lexington Avenue, White Plains. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 575 Hillside Avenue, White Plains.
