Rita Kulis, 90, an area resident since 1983 and formerly of Manhattan, died on December 17, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in New York City on October 3, 1927, she was the daughter of Eustacchio and Filomena Scarano. Rita had worked as a Reservations Supervisor for Pan American World Airways in New York City from 1956-1983.

In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband, Stephen J. Kulis; and her brothers, Joseph and Frank Scarano. She is survived by her cousin, Marie Frascati; her nieces, Barbara Ciambra, Donna Graziuso, Denise Fendrich, Laura Morea and Marlene Djuth; and several special friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
